SCIENCE HOLIDAY HOMEWORK


WEEK 1
   
   A)                PORTFOLIO
Prepare an Equation Bank for different types of reactions highlighting change in state, temperature, colour, precipitate formation and evolution of gas (if any). All equations must be balanced.

INSTRUCTIONS:
   1. All equations to be written on ruled sheets and make a folder of it.
    2. Choose any 25 equations from chemistry portion of NCERT only.

   WEEK 2

PRACTICAL WORK (in practical file)

AIM: To prepare a temporary mount of a leaf peel in order to show the stomata      of a leaf
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Copy the aim, materials required, procedure, observations, conclusions and precautions (everything on ruled side)
2.  Draw diagrams b and c given on page no 100 of your lab manual on the blank side.
3.  The image of above experiment is posted for your reference.
4.  Remember to put the date.

Make a separate folder for all worksheets.



2) PRACTICAL WORK (in practical file)
AIM- To perform and observe the following reactions and classify them (page no 40, 41 and 42 of your lab manual)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Copy the aim, materials required, procedure, observations, conclusions and precautions (everything on ruled side)
2.  Write equations on the blank page.
3.  The image of above experiment is posted for your reference.
4.  Put the date.

AIM- To show experimentally that CO2 is given out during respiration. (page no 107, 108 and 109 of your lab manual)

1.  Copy the aim, materials required, procedure A and B,observations, conclusions and precautions (everything on ruled side)
2.  Draw diagrams A (air exhaled into lime water)page 108 and set up A and B both page 109 on the blank side.
